Geek Out: Miira no Kaikata (Anime)

If you are looking for an adorable anime that will make you laugh, Miira no Kaikata is perfect. Mii is an adorable mummy child who is sent to Kashiwagi Sora by his self-proclaimed adventurer dad. I have to admit I thought this would be a lame anime when I read the description on myanimelist.com. But after deciding to try it anyway I was hooked from the first episode.

I will warn you however, this is not an action, adventure, fantasy or any other super deep and exciting series. Nor does it try to be. This series is just something that makes you happy. The first few episodes are like watching videos of cute animals or small children. However, as the story progresses you fall in love with the characters and get a bit more story development. This is a slice-of-life/comedy so it should be watched as such.

In terms of character development, you see a lot of development later in the series from Kamiyama Tazuki and his little supernatural friend. Sora also develops right before the end of the season. However, the other two characters are mostly static after their introductory episodes.

If you are looking for an anime about friends or just looking for something to bring joy to your life, I suggest that you try Miira no Kaikata.

Feel free to let me know what you think of it!
